24.9% of households* where nobody worked, 8% of households* where one person worked and 2.7% of households* where two people worked were unable to afford regular leisure activity for their children e.g. swimming, playing an instrument, youth organisations, etc.
5.6% of rented households* and 0.6% of own-occupied households* were unable to afford new (not second-hand) clothes for their children
5.7% of households* where neither parent was born in Ireland and 0.6% of households* where at least one parent was born in Ireland were unable to afford to invite friends of children round to play or eat from time to time
